AEG QX9 2-in-1 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner (QX9-1-40GG)

Prices vary by retailer and over time, so check current listings for today's price, especially since the model was also showing as out of stock at Amazon UK, Amazon DE and even Direct Vacuums itself during the same check. The model is a 2.7kg cordless stick vacuum with a 40-50 minute runtime and 5-stage washable filtration, and Amazon UK's listing separately states a 2-year manufacturer warranty, though Direct Vacuums' own reseller guarantee on graded stock runs to only 1 year. Confirm both price and stock directly with a retailer before ordering.

At the time of research it showed as out of stock at Amazon UK, Amazon DE and Direct Vacuums, though Direct Vacuums kept a live product page for it and it appeared on PriceRunner across multiple stores, suggesting it's a current rather than discontinued UK SKU. Its Appliances Direct listing had been removed entirely, which adds to the uncertainty. Stock should be confirmed directly with a retailer before purchase, particularly given the 0.3-litre bin and 40-50 minute runtime mean this is a model worth planning around if you need it quickly. If stock remains unavailable, comparing other AEG vacuum cleaners or cordless stick vacuums is worth considering instead.

AEG's own marketing describes a 5-stage or multi-level filtration system said to capture up to 99.9% of particles between 0.3 and 10 microns, but does not use the term HEPA. One third-party retailer labelled it a HEPA filter, but this isn't confirmed against an official AEG spec sheet, so it's treated as unverified here. The filtration is washable, which keeps ongoing costs down compared with disposable alternatives, and pairs with a compact 0.3-litre bagless bin that needs relatively frequent emptying in bigger homes. At 2.7kg, this model competes on lightweight, budget-friendly cleaning rather than certified allergen filtration.

AEG states a runtime of 40 to 50 minutes, depending on the power mode used, powered by a Li-ion battery pack that AEG-linked marketing rates at 21.6V nominal, though OEM-compatible replacement batteries for this model are rated 25.2V, likely reflecting peak charged voltage rather than a different pack. At 2.7kg, the vacuum sits in the standard weight band for cordless sticks, light enough for regular use across that runtime without excessive fatigue. Given the compact 0.3-litre bin, you may need to empty it partway through a longer 50-minute session on bigger or heavily carpeted homes, regardless of how much battery charge remains at that point.

They share the same dimensions, noise level and 0.3-litre bin, and appear to use the same battery platform, but the QX9-1-40GG comes with a standard crevice nozzle and dusting brush rather than the Animal edition's motorised pet-hair nozzle. Both are cordless stick vacuums with a 5-stage washable filtration system and a free-standing, 180-degree rotating design, so the practical difference for most buyers comes down to whether pet hair pickup is a priority. The QX9-1-40GG is sold through Direct Vacuums, though it showed as out of stock at several major retailers, so confirm current availability for whichever variant you're considering before ordering.

An Amazon UK listing states a 2-year manufacturer warranty, while Direct Vacuums separately offers its own 1-year reseller guarantee on graded stock, which is a retailer policy rather than an AEG manufacturer term. Which one applies depends on where and in what condition the unit is bought, so it's worth checking directly with the seller before purchase. This matters more given the Direct Vacuums listing reflects graded rather than necessarily new stock, and the model's 5-stage washable filtration and compact 0.3-litre bin already come with some unverified details. If a guaranteed 2-year manufacturer term matters most, buying through a retailer that explicitly confirms it may be the safer route.
