About WhichVacuum

WhichVacuum helps UK shoppers compare vacuum cleaners by real specifications, price, and features, side by side.

What this site is

WhichVacuum is a catalogue and comparison tool covering vacuum cleaners sold in the UK — cordless sticks, uprights, canisters, robots, and handhelds, spanning both battery and mains-powered models. Every product page, comparison, and guide draws on a single specification catalogue that we keep up to date as prices and models change, rather than being written independently per page.

What's on the site

Three kinds of page make up the catalogue: individual product pages with a full specification table and current pricing; head-to-head comparison pages that put two models side by side on the same fields, so the differences that actually matter are easy to see; and buying guides that explain what the specifications mean in practice for a particular use case, such as pet hair or hard floors. Filtering and sorting run across the same underlying data, so a filtered list and a product page never disagree about a model's specifications.

How it's funded

WhichVacuum earns a commission when you click through to a retailer and buy a product, at no extra cost to you. This does not affect which products appear on the site, how they're described, or how they rank in comparisons — see How We Compare for the detail on that. Affiliate links are ordinary retailer links; nothing about the layout or copy changes based on commission rate.

Pricing and availability

Prices shown are pulled from the retailer we link to for that product and can change without notice — always confirm the current price on the retailer's site before buying. Every price on the site is shown in pounds sterling; a small number of products are sourced from EU retailers, and their listed price is converted to sterling at a fixed exchange rate rather than shown in the original currency.

Who edits this site

WhichVacuum's comparisons and specification data are reviewed by a small in-house editorial team before publication, not published automatically from a feed with no human check. See Editorial Team for who they are and what they check.

What we don't do

We do not test products in-house. Specifications, pricing, and availability come from manufacturer data and retailer listings, verified against the catalogue described in How We Compare, not from hands-on review. We also don't display aggregate star ratings pulled from third parties: a rating tied to a specific retailer's listing can go stale within days of a price or stock change, and we'd rather show nothing than show something we can't stand behind.

Questions or corrections

If you spot a specification that looks wrong or out of date, email hello@whichvacuum.co.uk with the product and what looks off — the catalogue is only useful if it's accurate, and corrections get checked against the source listing and fixed directly rather than queued indefinitely.
